Tech Translation..

A new defect was reported in our application - a defect that had already been entered and was supposed to be fixed long ago. Emails are sent, tempers flare. The tech leads first response to almost every defect is: I can’t reproduce it, so it’s not a defect.. however, many times the defects do rear their ugly heads later. The QA lead has lost patience with our friend, the tech lead and thus we have this email exchange:

QA: Please don’t even go down that road!!! This is the same way we went last time we found this NONE of these will be reproducible!!!
Tech: We are looking into it, but sometimes weird stuff happens once in the internet space…
QA: translation: “…..I don’t have time for this I need to go smoke”
